If you've done the traditional networking groups or events, then you know how it goes. You may be giving up valuable time to sit in a room where half the people are just there to collect business cards, and you leave without much to show for it. A lot of the time there are two or three other people there who do exactly what you do, so you're competing before you've even gotten your coffee. We wanted something better than that.

How Birdies Networking works...

Our once-a-month "required" meetings run 90 minutes at an indoor golf simulator, and you spend that time with a full room of people who can actually send you business and vice versa. Weather never cancels anything, and it's short enough to fit into a busy schedule.

Here's how a typical meeting goes:

  • First half is a more “formal” meeting with introductions of new members, referral updates between existing members, thank-yous, etc. Everyone gets a chance to speak and make their services known.
  • Second half features a closest-to-the-pin contest (with a $50 gift card on the line) and built-in time to network with other members.

One month you might be hitting the island green at TPC Sawgrass, the next the 7th at Pebble Beach. You'll leave with referrals and, if your swing shows up that day, some bragging rights.

On top of your “required” monthly chapter meeting, there's a monthly Open Bay Networking session where members from every local Birdies chapter can get together on the sim, as well as invites to local scrambles and more. So you get two chances a month to build relationships: one inside your chapter, and one across the whole growing network.

What's included

When you join, you get:

  • Two exclusive networking events per month: your chapter’s “required” meeting (always at Golf Therapy Club in Sarasota) and the cross-chapter Open Bay where you'll have opportunities to network with fellow members
  • The monthly closest-to-the-pin contest for a gift card
  • A points system that rewards activity for the most active chapter members like one-to-ones, referrals, new members, and rounds played together. The top scorer each month is named Member of the Month and takes home another gift card.
  • A private member portal in the Kajabi app with the full chapter directory, meeting recaps, the referral board, and the event calendar all in one place

The Network

 Only one person per industry gets a seat in each chapter, so nobody in the room is fighting over the same clients in your required meetings (see the full list below). Each chapter caps at 30 members, which keeps it small enough that people actually remember what you do and think of you when the right referral comes up.

Every meeting runs in a round table format where each member takes a minute to share what they're working on, who they're trying to reach, and thank the people who've sent them business. You're expected to pass along referrals, not sit on them, and because we keep score, the members who help each other out get recognized for it.

  • 3rd Thursday of the month at 7:00am-8:30am (Eagles Chapter, 23/30 seats filled)

    • Note: Upon sign-up, you will automatically be placed into Eagles Chapter and then moved into Condors, if necessary. We are currently working on making this sign-up more convenient.

Membership is $40 a month (less than you'd spend on a single round of golf) or $400 for the year (less than almost every networking group with this kind of exclusivity).
